ALUMNI DRUPPA
Thrangu Rinpoche has asked the Sopa Choling alumni to come together for an annual druppa, or group practice. In 2006 there were fourteen of us who returned to Sopa Choling to perform an Inner Vajrayogini druppa. Due to scheduling conflicts, the 2007 druppa had to be cancelled. In 2008, we will have a 14 day Chakrasamvara druppa scheduled in September, and in 2009 there will be a Jinasagara Druppa in August.
One of the many benefits that has come out of these ‘family reunions’ is that we have been able to get to know each other and discover the passion we share for our practice and the teachings. After the 2006 druppa, we requested that Thrangu Rinpoche give us further teachings for our post retreat practice. He very kindly agreed to come and teach the Alumni ‘something new’ in the fall of 2008.
