LOJONG SLOGANS

Slogans for Training the Mind
The fifty-nine slogans that are cut into the stone wall around the stupa encompass the profound Mahayana Buddhist teachings on wisdom, kindness and compass. They were brought to Tibet in the eleventh century by the Indian Master Atisha Dipankara and have since been practiced by all schools of Tibetan Buddhism. By taking these slogans to heart and applying them in our lives we strengthen our innate capacity to be loving and open-minded toward everything we encounter.
