Fees

The cost for each semester is as follows :

• Fall semester : $ 150 CDN+ books and $ 5 /day for residency fees.
• Spring semester : $ 1000 CDN + books and $ 5 /day for residency fees.

Novices and fully ordained monastics are not charged but are asked to pay for the books and to contribute to the teacher's gift, as follows:

• Fall term : $ 50
• Spring term : $ 200

Application for admission

Please Note: You must have been a resident at Gampo Abbey for at least one month prior to the beginning of Shedra in order to participate in the program.

• Fall term: Introductory Shedra

Please fill out the application for Residential program (click on link to download this form). A minimum of a 6 month commitment is required to be accepted in our program.

• Spring term: Shedra Advanced Studies

Students must commit themselves to attend the whole Shedra program (10 weeks). People who also apply for our work-study program will receive preferential consideration.
