Requirements: a joyful and keen interest in the rigorous study of Buddhadharma

The main quality of a successful applicant to our Shedra is a joyful and keen interest in the rigorous study of the Buddhadharma.

However, applicants who have related study background (Nitartha Institute, Shedra elsewhere, Shambhala Curriculum or Vajradhatu Seminary) will receive preferential consideration for the Advanced Studies part of the program.

Please Note: You must have been a resident at Gampo Abbey for at least one month prior to the beginning of Shedra in order to participate in the program.

Daily Schedule includes classes in the morning as well as three study periods.
